How we teach
Our founder spent more than ten years teaching Creative Arts, Drama and Choir in Soweto schools. So every Mjojo programme uses the arts to make money ideas concrete, whether the audience is five or fifty.

Learners watch a character overspend, borrow and recover, then talk about what they would have done instead.

Saving, budgeting and needs-versus-wants become songs and chants that children sing on the way home.

Our early-learning work, Reading for Financial Wisdom, uses stories to show the money decisions children already see around them.

Games, market days, costing templates and checklists, so learning ends with something people can use the next day.
What we offer
Each play is written for its age group and aligned with EMS, Life Orientation and Consumer Studies. We perform at Soweto Theatre or in your school hall.

The team
Ofentse Victoria Montshiwe was born and raised in Soweto and taught in Soweto public schools for more than a decade: Creative Arts, Choir, Drama, Sesotho and Life Skills. She saw what limited money knowledge did to families around her and started Mjojo to teach it the way she knew worked best, through the arts.
